Shopping day

Alright

Friday night i made a list of every single capacitors, transistors, resistances on the book.
This was a long list and took a long time to go throught the book and write everything down.
The author of the Make: Electronics Book would have made this alot easier if he would have made the list for us.
I suspect they want to sell the kits (kit 1 - kit 2) so they make it as hard as possible for us... ah well.

So today i tried another electronics store. Home hardware at College and Spadina.
Home hardware usually only sell tools for construction and renovation but this particular one absorbed an electronic store years ago and kept it running.

It was a nice store, they had almost all of the stuff i needed and the staff was friendly.

After a grueling 3-4 hours (yes, really, 3-4 hours straight) i ended up buying almost all of the components and tools i needed.

I only have 5-6 items left on the list.
1 was because i didn't write the name properly, another one i plainly forgot to pick up, one that they were sold out...
I'm certain i must have messed up with a few of the components but it look like i wont have to go through another grueling shopping day like this in a long time.

$230 poorer, tired, but i got this done.

It's amazing all of that money, all of that time and only 1 little bag full of tiny parts.

I did only one experiment today, experiment number 4, which was really fun and i will document in the next post.
It's certainly great to have all of the right parts tho!

Tomorrow, I need to go buy some kind of cabinet with tiny compartments to organize all of this!
